Collective book project: Collection of scuba diving training sessions
Share
Who has never dreamed of finding examples of scuba diving training sessions? If we are trained in teaching, we must admit that what concerns the animation of sessions still remains to be constructed.
You have probably already noticed in your clubs, we often feel helpless when faced with the supervision of youth sections, "old snorkels" or even divers in transition between two levels and who do not fit into a training process.
However, many of you overcome this difficulty by inventing exercises, games, workshops, etc. every week that are always more innovative and fun.
Today, we invite you to collect your best session animation ideas in the first collective work of this kind.
Who can be an author?
All qualified supervisors can submit one or more training sessions. Clubs can also nominate in their own name.
Please note, you must be the author - in other words the inventor - of your session. If you run sessions that have been passed down for several generations within your club, it is better that it is your club that applies.
What content are we looking for?
We are looking for all fun and original training sessions aimed at divers, with or without scuba*.
By “session” we mean an exercise, a game, a workshop… in other words a single activity. But if you feel that your activities are inseparable, you can offer them as part of a complete session.
Is it paid?
Yes quite. If your application is accepted, we will send you a publishing contract on behalf of a publisher. In other words, we cover all costs and you will receive royalties for each book sale. Supervisors who wish to do so will be able to relinquish their rights to their club. This contractual relationship is governed by an intellectual property lawyer and we are available to answer all your questions.
Concretely, how does this happen?
First, you can use the form linked below to submit your session to us. Only one session at a time. If one or more of them are selected, we will then come back to you for the second step where we will go into more detail.
Submission deadline: June 30, 2022
Publication date: End of 2022
