Daniel BLIN has been a scuba diver for many years. After competing in fin swimming, he became a diving instructor in 1973.
Passionate about underwater photography for 50 years, he has led numerous courses at all levels: departmental, regional and national. National underwater photography instructor and also underwater video trainer, he was twice French underwater photography champion.
He is the author of several works on underwater photography, including the book Practical underwater photography, from learning in a swimming pool to practicing at sea . He collaborated on scientific publications as well as the production of a book on the popularization of the underwater world: Guide to the discovery of underwater life at shallow depths published by GAP, republished many times.
His voluntary commitment has led him from the presidency of the departmental committee of Morbihan to the national steering committee of the FFESSM, via the steering committee of the Interregional Committee of Brittany – Pays de la Loire.
At Editions Agitées, he published the book Ria d'Etel sous-marine and he participated in the development of the first waterproof ecological SCOUBA leaflets.
